Need advice with hair removal for face!?

Okay, I'm a 25 year old guy who absolutely HATES his facial hair. Seriously, I hate it and want it gone. I am of course aware of the permanent methods such as electrolysis and laser treatments, however I'm a poor college student so those aren't really an option right now.

I shave daily each morning, and sometimes by evening some of the hair has returned. Is there anything I can do? I've tried nair and similar depiliatories but they never last very long either - rarely more then a day or two.

I know there are many products on the store shelves related to hair removal, but am not sure which ones would be safe (for a guy), let alone effective.

Any advice? I'm willing to try almost any sugar, wax, whatever is on the market - that I can easily obtain at the local drugstore, of course.

For your level of facial hair, I'd suggest laser hair removal. I hate shaving, and had it done on my armpits and bikini line. It was very inexpensive at $100 for 5 treatments with a coupon I had (I've had 3 treatments so far). You'll end up spending way more than that over time on waxes, creams, etc., so it's worth paying for. It'll drastically cut down on the frequency of at home hair removal. I totally understand your frustration - I'm glad I'm not a guy and don't have to shave my face!

I think there are a few different kinds of treatments that are classified under the laser hair removal label. The kind I got was super cheap, but seemed to slow the growth and make it lighter as opposed to completely removing it forever. Good luck! Report It

Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods. Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful. Electrolysis and laser hair removal are "permanent" hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged.
