How Do I know if a laser hair removal place is using FDA approved lasers?

If they claim they are FDA should I just believe it or is there a way to make sure they are telling the truth? Also I know sometime the laser can burn you and cause a permanent scar, but how big would the scar be? Thanks in advance

Get the name of the laser and go to http://www.HairRemovalForum.com or go to the FDA website. If there is a burn, the size of it is dependent of the "spot" size of the laser. Some are the size of a quarter and then it would be dependent on how many pulses burn you. This should be very rare and a good, knowledgeable provider will make sure you are OK. The biggest risk is if you get a tan and don't tell the provider and they use the previous settings when you had no tan.

The attached website also has a list of providers who have received positive survey results from previous customers.

The FDA website should have information on that, there may even be a sticker they apply to the Lazar itself. Scars are usually small, individually, but if there is a group of them, they may be larger. It's a fairly expensive method, but it is effective. It may take more than one treatment of each hair to eliminate it.
