Do hair removing creams really make ur skin dark? I have hairs on my upper lips. I started using cream for it . just done a few times. waxing hurts and so does plucking. the permanent removal is expensive. is htere any cream that does not darken the skin.

I heard creams are usually bad.

Darkening skin, burning it, irritating it, etc.

I would just, shave or something.

Hair removing creams?

It does not make your skin dark. But I can tell you the smell can be really bad.

Hair removing creams?

hmm, I have never heard of the removal creams causing your skin to get dark, i have been using them for over twenty years, and my skin is not dark... not sure which creams you are speaking of. Buy one that is specifically made for your face.

Hair removing creams?

girl,,,,,, waxing is probably your best choice creams do make your skin darker. there is a certain kind my girl uses i dont know the name of it but they bring it on tv a lot so just be a girl and wax creams have bad chemicals in them and will cause irratation. and on the long run your skin will be dry

my gf had me use nair for myself...and there was no darkening anywere. I heard that some people are allergic to the active ingredients, and it may cause irritation.

Hair removing creams?

as someone else said, suck it up and wax.

They do not make the skin dark but can burn the skin if you leave it on too long, and it will be red there for a day or two.

I use Sally Hanson on my upper lip, for the same reason you do. I agree with you that waxing, plucking and permanent removal are not worth the pain and expense.

I'll give you a little tip I discovered. Two days after you use the hair removal, use a bleaching cream. This way, if the first cream leaves any hair on the lip you can bleach the rest and it will stay pretty invisible-looking for a while.

Sally Hansen does not darken my skin at all, and I can cope with the smell. Tweezies is a rolling removal tool that keeps the hair away for a lot longer too, and it really doesn't hurt me, it just kind of scared me the first time I tried it. It isn't a shaver but it plucks the hair out at the root. I got mine at QVC.

Hair removing creams?

tweezes for sure.
